It is one of the three initial flights provided by the Munich-based FlixBus as it launches in Canada on April 7. Other routes are Ottawa-Toronto and Niagara-Toronto Waterfalls, according to a media announcement. The journey from Waterloo University to Toronto will take approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes with stops in downtown Kitchener, Guelph and Mississauga. Flixbus will run a bus in every direction every Tuesday and Wednesday, departing from Waterloo at 11 a.m. and Toronto at 1:20 p.m. From Thursday to Monday, the company will also add a second daily bus in every direction departing from Waterloo at 5:30 p.m. Toronto at 2:25 p.m. Buses are equipped with Wi-Fi and sockets in each location. Flixbus is currently running an offer for tickets purchased before April 6, offering fares at $ 4.99. After the offer period, tickets from Waterloo to Toronto will start at $ 14.99, a company spokesman said. Flixbus also plans to launch US-Canada cross-border service this summer.
