Updated File Explorer design includes tabs for navigating multiple folders in a single window and the ability to move tabs. You will soon be able to right-click on a file to add it to your favorites and it will appear pinned to the File Explorer homepage. There are even enhanced file sharing options, with an updated sharing dialog box that lets you send to recent contacts or applications such as Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive. However, it is not clear when we will see this updated File Explorer. Microsoft is just teasing it as part of a series of upgrades to Windows 11 that are on track and the company has not committed to a release date yet.
