Winnipeg police were called to Selkirk Street and Parr Avenue at about 2:15 p.m. to report an injured elderly man. According to police, eyewitnesses said the man was attacked by several suspects, including one armed with a machete, resulting in the man suffering serious facial injuries. The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition. A K9 and Air1 were called and the suspects were found in a nearby house. Zachias Bob Thunder Black, 20, and a 16-year-old man were charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm. The charges have not been tried in court. The couple remains in custody.
