This is a review for Saturday Night 1 section of WrestleMania only. There were no Kickoff Show matches. She’s okay with me. I do not watch the Kickoff Show most of the time though.

WWE WrestleMania 38 from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, April 2, 2022

There was a shot from the huge crowd in Dallas to open the show. Country music singer Brantley Gilbert sang America The Beautiful. It was good. I definitely have more enthusiastic versions of America The Beautiful in my life. The introductory video was narrated by actor (and rapper at the time) Mark Wahlberg. It was also in the video, so it was great. Talk about some of the fights / interview in the first part. There was a lot of publicity as the show started. Michael Cole welcomed us to the show screaming “STUPENDOUS” as loud as he could. Hello Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. They danced AC / DC “Thunderstruck” on stage. No complaints there. The Smackdown commentary team of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee welcomed us to the show. Pat was really excited about his first WrestleMania as a WWE announcer. They are first because the Smackdown Tag team titles are first. Rick Boogs made the introduction for his teammate tag team Shinsuke Nakamura and made their entry into this title fight. Pat McAfee did his usual dance routine at the comment table. The Usos were the next long-time champions of the Smackdown Tag team. They showed how Rick Boogs beat Jey Uso in a singles match to win this title shot. Smackdown Tag Team Championships: The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) against Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs Good job from ring announcer Samantha Irvin who makes the league entries before the match. It is the first of WrestleMania. The Usos have been champions for 257 days. Nakamura knocked Jimmy down with a kick followed by a knee-jerk run while Jimmy was in the swivel. Jay went into his chest to hit his forearm while Jimmy held Nakamura. Jay was in control with an uppercut and the two Usos pulled Nakamura’s legs. Jimmy hit a spin on the head. Nakamura slipped from a body blow that resulted in a kick to the heel in Jimmy’s face. Boogs grabbed Jay with a double grip on the chest, Jay returned with a punch, and Boogs grabbed Jay with a delayed vertical side for two. Boogs picked up Jay, then Jimmy jumped on them and Boogs slumped on the mat while grabbing his right foot. Nakamura picked up the label and jumped from the top to both Usos on the floor. The referee made the “X” symbol for Bugs, which means that he was injured while a doctor checked Bugs. Nakamura hit a sliding German Suplex on Jey. Nakamura loaded, but Jay stopped him with a super kick. Jimmy climbed to the top and hit a Uso Splash for just two counts. The crowd erupted for that nearby. Jay came in with a tag, held Nakamura by the hair and Jimmy hit a super kick. The Usos hit 1D (1 and Done like 3D) on Nakamura for the pinfall victory after about seven minutes. Winners with pinfall: The Usos Analysis: ** It was okay for a shorter fight that was probably stopped due to Rick Boogs knee injury. I feel bad for Boogs in his first WrestleMania. I know he is not known as a great performer in the ring, but I like his personality and he was a nice addition to Nakamura’s practice. I thought the Usos kept up anyway, so the result is good for me. The Usos are great champions and one of the best tag teams in WWE history. The Usos celebrated the victory while Nakamura checked on Boogs, who was being monitored by doctors, who lifted Boogs to his feet. A video was shown for the story of Sami Zayn with Johnny Knoxville leading the WrestleMania race on Sunday. There was a video package that was shown for Happy Corbin’s fight against Drew McIntyre. They told Corbin the story of how in 2021 he lost his money, went bankrupt, was abandoned by his family, and after Money in the Bank last summer in Las Vegas, Corbin made a lot of money. Imagine it. Anyway, this rivalry with Corbin / Moss and Drew McIntyre has been going on since the end of 2021 and has been going on for the last three months. Happy Corbin made his entrance with his friend Madcap Moss. They showed a clip from Smackdown when Madcap Moss won Andre the Giant Battle Royal. Corbin has not lost a single game since becoming a “Happy” Corbin. Drew McIntyre made his entrance with Angela (named after his late mother) the sword. The pyro left for Drew’s entry and the audience was hot for the former two-time WWE champion. Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin (with Madcap Moss) Drew was in control with a clothesline, then a steak, Corbin kicked him in the leg, and Corbin ran the ropes with Drew following, leading to a rope from the top to the floor. Drew led Corbin to the ring apron. He was in the apron with Corbin sending Drew to the ring. Corbin was in control after a hard whip in the turn. Corbin with suplex followed by suplex belly with back for two. Corbin worked over Drew with fists and some people celebrating while Moss was in his apron celebrating. Corbin shouted at Moss to come down, so Drew re-entered it with a spinbaster. Drew started with two clotheslines, Corbin slipped under the ring and re-entered with Drew hitting him in the abdomen. Drew with a broken neck followed by an upright bicycle, which caused applause. Drew with the forearm in the face then charged and Corbin struck a Deep Six slam for two, which is usually taken by this move. Corbin wanted a Chokeslam, Drew came out of it and Drew climbed to the top with a clothesline on top. Drew made the countdown 3-2-1 that led Corbin to be released on the floor. Drew ran the ropes that led to a mound dive over the top at Corbin & Moss. Drew nailed both children, but he also got a big blow to the back. Drew with suplex belly with belly on Moss on the floor. Drew climbed to the top, jumped with nothing, Corbin got out of it and Drew hit his head. Drew wanted a Claymore Kick, Corbin moved in and Corbin reached the end of the slam. Cole said he believes this is the first time someone has ruled out End of Days. Corbin was screaming at referee Jessica Carr, but she told him it was only two. Following Corbin’s complaint, Drew returned with a Future Shock DDT. Drew made it 3-2-1 that led to Claymore Kick for the victory after ten minutes. Pinfall winner: Drew McIntyre Resolution: *** Good match. I know people do not like Corbin, but he worked hard and kept up with Drew, who is awesome. Drew’s dive on the floor is not something he does all the time, it’s something he’s smart about. He is impressive every time he does it. The big point was Corbin who scored his finish at the End of Days for just two counts. This is a move no one has ever left, so eliminating Drew in a WrestleMania is the right time to do it. WWE should push Drew to the top soon. You might keep it for the summer, but the guy is so talented. They need him in the image of the main event. After the fight, Drew looked with Madcap Moss in the apron. Drew shook the sword, Moss moved away from the middle and Drew hit the top rope, so the top / middle ropes collapsed. Drew went to his family in the ring (I think it was his wife) to celebrate the victory. Analysis: Nice rope cut there. Gives the ring crew something to do during the show. They had ads for Snickers, Cricket Wireless and the WWE Shop. Video package shown for the match between Rey & Dominik Mysterio against The Miz & Logan Paul. They had a long history of that. Rey and Dominik Mysterio made their entrance with Dominik wearing the clothes that Eddie Guerrero wore when he was in Los Gringos Locos early in his career. For Eddie. # WrestleManiapic.twitter.com / 2jDtfz3BDL – WWE at FOX (@WWEonFOX) April 3, 2022 I do not know how many more WrestleMania races Rey Mysterio will leave, but I’m sure it’s amazing for him to team up with his son Dominik in front of a huge crowd at WrestleMania. Happy for them. Miz and Logan Paul were next. They were both wearing black / yellow clothes. Logan Paul wore an expensive Pokemon card around his neck. Cool? I do not know about Pokemon. I’m a big. The Raw commentary team of Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton was in the commentary of this Raw match. Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs. The Miz & Logan Paul Miz worked just over Ray in the corner, Paul stepped in and punched Ray in the ribs a few times. Paul ran the ropes with Rey, made a jump and then Rey kicked Paul in the head. Dominik tagged a double team slam at Miz for two. Dominik drove Miz’s neck to the top rope and Dom hit a moonsault. Dominic jumped off the ropes with a combination of arm / scissors. Dominic jumped from the middle buckle with a swivel dip on Miz on the floor. Miz chased Ray to the floor, the referee looked there and then Paul hit Dominic in the back. Paul hit a powerslam run on Dominik for two. Miz returned as Miz / Paul kicked Dominik alternately in the body for two measurements. Miz with a boiler, Dominic with a pin with a setback and Miz sent Dominic to the turn. Paul returned with a boot in Dominik’s face. Paul hit a blockbuster from the middle ropes for two counts. Corey Graves went on and on with TikTok fans to brag about Paul. It’s annoying, but he’s a heel announcer, so that’s the job. Dominik punched both children to fight out of the corner and Dominik hit a Tornado DDT on Miz. Ray was spotted with a hurricane in Miz, then at the top and a seated sheet in Miz. Ray made a pin attempt with a …
